Addiction: An International Journal

Addiction, one of The Society's two journals, has been in virtually continuous publication for 117 years. It has appeared under several titles, the first being 'Proceedings of the Society for the Study and Cure of Inebriety', and more recently the 'British Journal of Addiction'. Today's journal is truly international in scope and brings together research conducted within many different disciplines. It is read in over 60 countries worldwide.

In addition to original research, the journal features editorials, commentaries, reviews, historical articles, interviews with leading figures in the addictions, letters, news and a comprehensive book review section, with listings in collaboration with SALIS.  The journal supports the ethical principles enshrined in the Farmington Consensus (Addiction, 92(12) pp 1617-1618).
