Cassandra Hogan, MA (Oxon.), MSc
Doctoral Candidate London South Bank University
Cassie is a doctoral researcher funded by Alcohol Research UK and London South Bank University. Her thesis explores identity translation and recovery from problem drinking. Having previously worked as a counsellor in the addiction field she is particularly interested in bridging the gap between research and practice. She supports service user involvement in research and is a member of the Addiction Service User Research Group, funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Biomedical Research Centre for Mental Health at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College London. Cassie is also a director at a small UK Arts Charity (Create Recovery) which supports people with lived experience of addiction (including family members) to develop their creativity and wellbeing in recovery.
