Student associate application form

The purpose of the SSA's student associate status is to enable students to participate in the SSA for their own benefit and to stimulate their future engagement with the SSA as full members.

Benefits of being a student associate:

  • receive online access to the SSA’s journals (Addiction and Addiction Biology)
  • eligiblity for reduced-rate attendance at the SSA’s annual conference
  • eligibility to apply for the SSA’s funding schemes

Eligibility: Student associates must be studying or have been offered a place on a UK-based course in which the focus of study is in the addictions field, and resulting in a recognised qualification or credits. Student associates must have a demonstrable commitment to working in the addictions field. Student Associate status is applied for annually with evidence* of on-going student status. Application denotes agreement to uphold the SSA’s aim and objective.

Annual Student Associate fee is £25 including free online subscription to Addiction and Addiction Biology. Associate status runs from January-December or September-August.
