Jeremy Solly

Biography

Dr Jeremy E. Solly is a Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Hertfordshire and the University of Southampton, contributing to research on behavioural addictions, gambling disorder, and compulsivity. His work spans psychopharmacology, behavioural neuroscience, and the clinical assessment of problematic digital behaviours, with publications addressing compulsivity across behavioural addictions and the pharmacological management of gambling disorder. He has held research roles within the University of Cambridge and Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, focusing on behavioural addictions and problematic internet use. Dr Solly’s interdisciplinary contributions support evidence-based approaches to understanding and treating digital environment harms.

Digital gambling harm ecosystems

Jeremy will discuss emerging insights from a Gambling Harms Partnership project, recently submitted to UK Research and Innovation. His contribution outlines a conceptual and methodological framework for assessing digital gambling ecosystems, emphasising cross platform data integration, behavioural telemetry, and interdisciplinary approaches. The presentation identifies gaps in current harm measurement strategies and proposes a roadmap for future research infrastructure and policy relevant evidence generation.
