Nathan Davies

Biography

Nathan Davies is a specialty registrar in public health at the University of Nottingham. His doctoral research focused on the UK’s smokefree generation policy, and his broader research interests lie in the commercial determinants of health and policy interventions. He is Associate Editor for Public Health in Practice. Nathan has also worked across local, regional and national public health functions, including Public Health England, NHS England, and for local public health teams. He splits his time between research, teaching, and public health practice.

Abstract

Simulating the smokefree generation policy in England: Impact on health equity and smoking in pregnancy

Nathan will present simulation modelling examining the policy’s projected effects in England. Drawing on international evidence and two modelling studies, this presentation explores potential impacts on health equity and smoking in pregnancy.
