Owen Bowden-Jones

Biography

Professor Owen Bowden-Jones is a consultant psychiatrist specialising in addiction psychiatry and the founder and director of the Club Drugs Clinic. He has extensive experience in the treatment of behavioural and substance addictions and has played a key role in shaping UK clinical and policy responses to emerging addiction related harms, including as Chair of the ACMD, President of the SSA, and Registrar of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Alongside his clinical work, he has advised government bodies and public health organisations on addiction policy and service development. His work focuses on improving treatment pathways and developing evidence based responses to complex addiction presentations, including those involving overlapping behavioural and substance related patterns of use.
