The SSA publishes two peer-reviewed journals featuring research around a wide range of areas that make up Addiction Science.
Addiction publishes top quality international research for a large and expanding readership. It offers a lively forum for debate with editorials, commentaries, interviews with leading figures in the field, and a comprehensive book review section.
Addiction’s scope spans human experimental, epidemiological, social science, historical, clinical and policy research relating to addiction, primarily but not exclusively in the areas of psychoactive substance use and/or gambling.
Addiction Biology is focused on neuroscience contributions and aims to advance our understanding of the action of drugs of abuse and addictive processes.
Papers are accepted in both animal experimentation or clinical research. The content is geared towards behavioural, molecular, genetic, biochemical, neuro-biological and pharmacology aspects of these fields.
The journal includes peer-reviewed original research reports and reviews.
