Biography
Fiona joined the Society for the Study of Addiction in January 2026 as Science Communication Officer. She brings experience working across both strategy and delivery for a range of public sector clients, with a particular focus on health communications and patient safety.
Previously, Fiona worked at the University of Exeter, where she developed her digital expertise as part of the web team before moving into a role within the press office, supporting the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. There, she deepened her interest in science communication and further refined her writing skills. Fiona is especially passionate about making sense of science and understanding the real-world impact of research.
