We are delighted that Drug Policy and the Public Good, 2nd edition received a Highly Commended award in the Public Health category at the British Medical Association Book Awards this year.
This is a fantastic achievement which reflects the hard work and commitment contributed by the full team of authors involved in the project.
Over 600 projects were submitted for consideration to the judging panel this year, and only the most outstanding were ‘highly commended’, so we are especially pleased that this excellent book has been acknowledged for its contribution to the field.
The judges commented:
‘I really liked this book. I am aware of the issues but am not an expert in drug policy. As an evidence review it is very accessible and based on evidence rather than opinion. The references are very detailed and thus it is also very useful as a reference book. It is suitable for the expert and the non-expert. It is factual and light on opinions, exactly what is needed for this subject. This is the best book I have been asked to review.’
