PhD symposium details
The SSA’s symposium for PhD students is now in its twelfth year. This event brings together PhD students studying addiction-related topics so they can network, present their work in a low-key, supportive environment and share their experiences – positive and negative. We welcome full and part-time students, studying in a range of disciplines including social sciences, laboratory sciences and health services research. The day includes presentations from students at all stages of their PhD, as well as those who are close to finishing or who have recently submitted their thesis.
The programme is built around the delegates and will be available here when finalised. Submit your delegate abstract when booking (deadline: 14 September).
Comments from previous attendees:
“I felt like the presentations were more engaging than they usually are at conferences. They were well thought through + interesting”
“Really good encouragement to start engaging the public & how it can help/what it can bring to your research”
“My first PhD SSA Symposium was a great experience. Thank you”
